Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is the result of a cross between Evolution and Stigg. Plants of this variety are tall but have a strong straw, which ensures good lodging resistance. The variety also possesses resistance to pre-harvest sprouting in the ear.

Fitzroy is considered an agrotechnically flexible variety suitable for cultivation on light and heavy soils. It is suitable for early and late sowing dates and can be used as a first or second wheat in crop rotation.
