The variety is classified as winter soft wheat. In agronomic and scientific practice, it has become known primarily as a reference sample for conducting genetic research.

Specifically, the variety is used in the analysis of gliadin protein composition and for the identification of specific genetic markers at the Gli-A2 and Gli-B1 loci. It has also been used in breeding programs as a parental form for the creation of new hybrids.
