The variety belongs to the breeding of the Cereal Research Non-profit Ltd. (Gabonakutató) in Szeged. Genetic resistance to leaf rust is provided by the presence of Lr3 and Lr3a genes. The variety is considered in scientific literature to possess complex tolerance to leaf and spike diseases, however, under a high infectious background, it may require fungicide treatment.
