The variety was bred as a result of cooperation between the Gabonakutató research center and the research station in Táplánszentkereszt for adaptation to the conditions of the subalpine region. It is used as a food crop with satisfactory baking qualities and is also suitable for feed purposes.
The plant belongs to the medium-height type. The variety possesses good general field resistance to fungal diseases, while susceptibility to Fusarium has been noted.
