The variety is the result of a cross between GK Smaragd and GK Holló. The plant, 80–95 cm in height, has an awnless ear and a steel-shaded red grain. The variety is characterized by good resistance to lodging, excellent winter hardiness, and high yield.
It possesses excellent resistance to leaf rust and stem rust, moderate resistance to yellow rust and Fusarium head blight. The thousand kernel weight is 40–45 g. Protein content varies from 12.0 to 15.5%, wet gluten from 31 to 34%, and the falling number is 350–400 s.
