The variety is winter-hardy and was created using high-protein and high-lysine lines obtained from University of Nebraska breeding programs, as well as on the basis of the breeders' own developments.
The grain of the variety possesses high baking parameters, which allowed it to be classified in quality group A1. Publications mentioning this variety mainly concern the history of Croatian breeding, grain quality comparisons, and the wheat's participation in yield trials.
