Syngenta Crop Protection AG

The variety was created in the 1970s as a high-yielding intensive-type variety. It became an important donor of valuable traits for many wheat varieties developed in Central Europe and other regions, and is frequently found in the pedigrees of modern varieties.
Iljicovka was used as a parental form for the development of both winter and spring wheat varieties. By transforming the variety into a spring form, such breeding achievements as Primorskaya 39 were obtained, as well as a spring line that served as the basis for the Astana variety.
