The variety is the result of crossing the varieties Jubilé and Fylgia. Agronomic studies of that period noted its capacity for high yield, especially when nitrogen fertilizers were applied, and a pronounced response to nutrient conditions compared to older wheat varieties.
The physiological features of the variety include intensive photosynthesis of the flag leaf and the ear, which contributed to yield formation. In genetic studies, «Jufy I» served as an object for studying resistance to rust. At present, the variety retains its significance as a historical specimen within genetic collections.
