The variety has an average plant height (about 97 cm) and is characterized by medium lodging resistance, which requires the use of growth regulators during intensive cultivation. The variety possesses excellent winter hardiness and demonstrates good tolerance to late sowing dates.

The plant is resistant to powdery mildew, leaf and glume blotch, brown rust, and Fusarium head blight. The grain of the Julie variety possesses high baking quality: protein content is 13.8–14.1%, falling number is 310–326 sec, sedimentation value is 60–64 ml, and test weight is 804 g/l.
