The variety has a winter growth habit and an intermediate type of tillering. Plants are distinguished by very short or short stems. The flag leaf is characterized by low frequency of recurvature and absent or very weak anthocyanin coloration of the auricles.
The ear is medium dense or dense, with the presence of short awnlets. The grain has a reddish color and a dark or very dark phenol reaction. The variety possesses resistance to the midge and a number of diseases, including rust.
In the British classification, the variety belongs to the "Hard Group 4" as a high-yielding feed wheat with high productivity potential in northern regions. In documentation, it is found under the code designation KWS W436.
