The variety was obtained by crossing Yellowstone, MTS0112 and MTS0125 using the modified mass selection method. It is intended for cultivation in the northern and central regions of Montana.
The plants are of the semi-dwarf type. An important feature is the semi-solid stem, which reduces crop damage by the wheat stem sawfly.
The grain of the variety has a medium to high protein concentration, as well as acceptable milling and baking characteristics.
