Variety description

10 August 2026

The Maggie variety is used in experimental botany for analyzing plant physiological responses, in particular, root system growth under mechanical soil resistance. The variety demonstrates specific characteristics regarding changes in the amplitude of helical root movement and their growth direction upon encountering obstacles.

Data on agronomic properties are absent in the literature. In certain laboratory experiments, the average seed weight of the variety was about 48 mg, while in other comparative studies the average dry seed weight varied in the range from 28.3 to 43.2 mg.
