The variety is classified as a modern pure line. In agrochemical studies, it demonstrates the ability to accumulate cadmium in the grain.

In genetic experiments, the variety is used to study the mechanisms of photoperiodism, particularly in the analysis of the Ppd-D1a allele. The variety is also used in comparative analyses to evaluate the activity of the peroxidase enzyme under water stress conditions.
