The variety is the first Portuguese soft wheat variety obtained through a breeding program. It possesses a shorter vegetation cycle compared to other varieties of that time.
The plant demonstrates resistance to rust and drought conditions, maintaining thousand kernel weight and number of spikes under moisture deficit. Currently, the variety is classified as wheat with poor baking quality and is preserved primarily for scientific research.
