The variety is a winter form of soft wheat intended for bread-making production. In the British nabim quality classification, the variety is assigned to Group 2.
A key characteristic of the variety is genetic resistance to the orange wheat blossom midge (Sitodiplosis mosellana). In scientific studies, the variety was examined in the context of the presence of the Yr6 resistance gene to the yellow rust pathogen Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
