The variety was obtained as a result of crossing Haven, Lambert, and Madsen. The plant is characterized by a blue-green color, semi-erect flag leaf, and awned spikes with white glumes. The grains have a white color, soft consistency, and medium size.
The variety is early-maturing and heads earlier than the Madsen variety. It possesses resistance to eyespot and stem rust, as well as good indicators for milling and baking production. Due to its semi-dwarf type, it is distinguished by good lodging resistance.
