The variety originates from the Canadian spring wheat variety Reward and was bred by individual selection. The variety is hexaploid (6n) and belongs to the category of spring crops.
During studies of old varieties, it was revealed that Slovenska Skora is prone to lodging. The protein content in the grain of this variety varies depending on growing conditions.
At present, the variety has no commercial purpose and is stored in gene banks to support breeding activities.
