The variety was derived from the combination of lines AD 7020 x AO 7021. It is widely used in agricultural research in Denmark for the comparative analysis of organic and conventional farming systems.
The plant possesses pronounced resistance to leaf septoria, determined by the mechanism of rapid callose deposition. The variety is also characterized by a high content of benzoxazinone derivatives, in particular DIMBOA, which provide natural protection against diseases and pests.
