The winter soft wheat variety Sviatkova is intended for agricultural production. It is included in state plant variety registers and is an object of scientific research aimed at studying the vernalization requirement and photoperiod sensitivity of the crop.

In genetic terms, the variety is considered a source of useful traits for breeding for disease resistance; in particular, it is a carrier of Lr34 haplotypes, which provide resistance to rust. The variety is also undergoing testing as part of studies on lodging resistance.
