The variety was bred using the Bt10 gene, derived from the donor Weston, to provide protection against common bunt (Tilletia caries), making it suitable for use in organic farming.
During field trials in Austria in 2021–2023, the variety showed varying degrees of pathogen infection. Scientists attribute this to the presence of physiological races of the fungus capable of overcoming the resistance provided by the Bt10 gene. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety, including grain quality indicators, plant height, and ripening times, are not presented in the publications.
