The variety has a winter growth habit. Genetically, it is characterized by the presence of the yellow rust resistance gene Yr32; resistance to brown rust is also noted. Other disease resistance indicators are weakly expressed.

The plant is prone to producing a large number of spikes while forming relatively small grain. The variety is used more often as genetic material for breeding research on physiological processes than for mass commercial production.
