The variety is an ancient local population formed through natural selection and folk breeding. Plants of this variety are characterized by tall stature and a tendency to lodging, which is typical for traditional varieties of the region.

The productivity of the variety is estimated at about 1.1 t/ha. The variety is adapted to Mediterranean climatic conditions and historically demonstrates resistance to regional abiotic and biotic stresses.
