The variety is a local landrace adapted to regional conditions. Botanically, it belongs to the subspecies Triticum monococcum L. subsp. monococcum provar. clusii. The crop possesses high resistance to drought, common bunt, root rot, and tan spot, suppresses weeds well, and does not require the application of fertilizers or chemicals.

The grain is characterized by an elevated polyphenol content of up to 80%, high levels of protein and fiber, as well as low gluten content. The product is used primarily in the production of flour and bakery goods for healthy nutrition, and can also be used as feed for livestock.
