The variety has a complex genetic origin based predominantly on Vaccinium corymbosum with the involvement of genetic material from the species V. darrowii, V. angustifolium, V. tenellum, and V. ashei.
The berries of the variety are characterized by a medium-blue color, firm and juicy flesh, as well as a balanced sugar and acid flavor. The fruits have a small dry scar and, when stored in a refrigerator, maintain quality for up to 6 weeks and longer.
The variety ripens five days earlier than the Duke variety. The plant is classified as highly cold-hardy.
