The variety is a tetraploid hybrid resulting from a cross between Liberty and Nelson. The genetics are based on Vaccinium corymbosum with the addition of Vaccinium angustifolium genes.
The plant is characterized by high yield and suitability for mechanical harvesting. The fruits have high keeping quality and are suitable for long-term storage, which allows the variety to be used for commercial cultivation and fresh market sales.
Ripening occurs approximately 21 days after the Bluecrop variety, at the same time as the Liberty variety.
