Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid of Vitis berlandieri and Vitis rupestris. It is a rootstock variety not intended for berry production, as it has a male flower type and does not form bunches. It is characterized by vigorous growth and a powerful, branched root system.

It is distinguished by a long growing season and late maturation of the vine. It possesses high resistance to root phylloxera and good adaptation to poor, dry soils with an active lime content of up to 17%. It does not tolerate waterlogged and highly fertile soils well.

Cuttings of the variety are characterized by poor rooting, however, it ensures satisfactory graft union. It influences the metabolism of the grafted variety, in particular the potassium uptake process.
