Variety description

The variety is a vigorous rootstock with a sprawling vine habit and intensive lateral shoot formation; the shoots can reach 3.5–4 meters. The root system is powerful, deep, and branched. The leaves are small to medium in size, kidney-shaped, and dark green. The flower is functionally male; therefore, the variety does not form clusters.

The plant possesses high resistance to root phylloxera and fungal diseases of leaves and petioles. The variety is tolerant to high active lime content in the soil (up to 17–19% according to Drouineau-Galet) and salinity, and it also adapts well to waterlogging and spring flooding conditions. Due to the long growing season, the variety may delay the ripening of the grafted material.
