Bouysselet is a late-ripening grape variety. Genetically, it is the result of a cross between the varieties Savagnin and Plant de Cauzette. The plant possesses high hardiness and resistance to heat and rot, which is due to the thick skin of the berries.
The grape is used exclusively for the production of white wines, which are distinguished by the purity of their aromatics, pronounced minerality, and a balanced combination of acidity and sweetness. Wines of this variety have the potential for long aging.
