The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Freiburg 945-60 and Merzling. It belongs to the category of disease-resistant varieties (PIWI) and is included in the National Registry of Grape Varieties of Italy.

The plant possesses good resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, and also exhibits a medium degree of resistance to black rot. Technological characteristics make it suitable for winemaking in the climatic conditions of Trentino.
