The variety originates from the Jura region in France. Historically, it was widely distributed in California under the name "Grey Riesling," although its planting areas have significantly declined over time.
Wines produced from this variety are characterized by high aromatics with notes of peach, melon, and honeysuckle. When specific winemaking techniques are applied, hints of strawberry and watermelon can emerge in the wine.
