The variety was obtained by crossing the Shiroka melnishka loza variety with other forms and is autochthonous to the Struma River valley in Bulgaria. It is adapted to the warm and sunny climatic conditions of the region.
The grape belongs to wine varieties; clusters and berries are of medium size. The produce possesses a pronounced muscat aroma with floral and fruity notes, a berry sugar content of 22–24%, and an acidity of 5.5–7.3 g/l. The wines have an alcohol content of 12.5–13.5% vol.
The variety is characterized by high overall viability and robustness.
