The Opál variety is a representative of table grape varieties. Its parent forms during hybridization were the Ceaus roz and Julski biser varieties.
Berries of this variety possess a characteristic green-yellow or opal coloration. The grape ripening period occurs in early September. The variety is included in the national collection of genetic resources of Slovakia.
