Opalor, also known as Opalor blanc or under the number Col-2383L, is an interspecific hybrid obtained from crossing the Bronner variety and a descendant of the Muscadinia rotundifolia species. It is a vigorous variety with hermaphroditic flowers.
The variety matures late, usually by the end of September. The bunches are small, conical, and density varies from medium to loose. The berries are small and round. The yield of the variety is lower than that of Sauvignon blanc.
Due to its polygenic resistance to major fungal diseases, such as downy mildew and powdery mildew, the variety allows for a significant reduction in fungicide use during the cultivation process.
