The variety is the result of a cross between Hebén and Oneca and is genetically related to Iberian varieties. It was discovered in the Olivan area and is currently being studied for susceptibility to fungal wood diseases, in particular Botryosphaeria dieback.
The grape is characterized by high yield and the ability to accumulate significant levels of sugar and acid. The variety is used for the production of white wines, including dry wines with high alcohol content and sweet wines, and demonstrates good adaptability to cultivation at altitudes of more than 850 meters above sea level.
