The variety is a product of a Hungarian breeding program for developing grapevines with combined resistance genes to fungal diseases. It is classified as a wine grape variety for wine production.
The plant possesses a high degree of resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, carrying 1+2 resistance genes to these pathogens. The variety was created to produce high-quality base wine that meets modern market requirements.
