The variety is a rare biological entity, more often found in ampelographic collections than in commercial plantings. The grape is used for the production of white wines, primarily as a component in blends with Sauvignon and Chenin Blanc varieties.

The plant has low fertility and requires long pruning. The dense structure of the clusters makes the variety sensitive to the development of Botrytis cinerea. Morphologically, it is characterized by rounded five-lobed leaves, densely pubescent tips of young shoots, and rounded berries with a pronounced waxy bloom.
