The name Santa Fe is used as a synonym for the variety Cadrete. This variety is being studied by specialists in Aragon, Spain, as part of efforts to preserve the genetic diversity of local grape cultures.

Studies of the variety are aimed at evaluating its agronomic characteristics and resistance to various diseases, including fungal infections. The variety is considered part of the collection material from germplasm banks, although detailed economic characteristics for it as a separate commercial entity are absent.
