Variety VB 91-26-29 is the result of crossing Cabernet Sauvignon with resistant partners. The bush is characterized by vigorous growth and a vertical shoot growth habit, which ensures natural ventilation of the cluster zone. The foliage is sparse, which reduces the need for additional maintenance work.
The clusters are small and loose; the berries are black, medium-sized, with a thick, tough skin. The variety ripens 10–14 days earlier than Cabernet Sauvignon. It possesses high resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold, as well as good winter hardiness and resistance to spring frosts due to late bud burst.
This wine grape variety is intended for the production of red wines with intense color. The flavor and aroma profile includes notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, black pepper, dark chocolate, cedar, leather, and cigar. The wines have a structure suitable for aging, including in barrels.
