The variety is characterized by significant confusion in names, while genetic studies confirm the presence of homonymy: biologically different plants may be encountered under one name. Varieties associated with it most often belong to late maturity groups.
Morphologically, the variety is described by pentagonal, deeply dissected five-lobed leaves and elongated berries of finger-like or curved shape. Disease resistance is assessed as low, requiring covering of the vines during the winter period, while the commercial quality of the berries is high.
Used predominantly as a table grape for fresh consumption, although in a number of publications it is also mentioned in the context of winemaking.
