The variety is an interspecific hybrid used exclusively as a rootstock. The plant is of medium vigor, forming shoots 2.5–3 meters in length. The flower is functionally female, producing small berries with no consumer value. The vegetation period is 170–180 days; the variety is characterized by active lateral shoot formation.

The rootstock possesses high frost resistance (buds down to -30°C), including the root system, and is resistant to major fungal diseases, with the exception of anthracnose. It has high resistance to the root form of phylloxera. It grows well in moist, fertile soils and tolerates up to 9% active lime, but tolerates drought poorly.
