Sheegene-20
ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The variety has a medium to medium-late ripening period. Leaves are pentagonal, with a wedge-shaped central lobe. Clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical, and often dense. Berries are round or oval, ranging in color from grayish-pink to reddish-brown.
The variety is prone to Botrytis cinerea due to the high density of the clusters. Winter hardiness is good, however, due to early sap flow, there is a risk of damage from spring frosts. It prefers deep soils and favorable climatic conditions, and requires careful clonal selection due to its tendency to mutate.
