The variety was obtained in 2002 as a result of crossing the Villaris variety and the breeding line VRH 3159-2-12. The genetic structure includes material from the species Vitis vinifera, Vitis berlandieri, Vitis rupestris, and Muscadinia rotundifolia.

The vines have moderate growth vigor and an upright shoot growth habit. The variety is mid-late in maturity. Yield is high; clusters are medium-sized and loose. It requires yield control to maintain wine quality.

The grapes are characterized by high resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew, which reduces the need for fungicide treatments, but is sensitive to black rot. It is used to create white wines with a neutral profile, mild acidity, and notes of citrus and flowers.
