The variety is of French origin from the Burgundy region. It is a wine grape variety that reaches maturity early and possesses high vine vigor. The flower is hermaphroditic, which contributes to good pollination.

Leaves are medium or large, three-lobed. Clusters are characterized as medium or large, berries are medium-sized, round in shape, and have a greenish-white color. The yield of the variety is typically high, however, the level of productivity depends on growing conditions.
