The variety originated as a result of self-seeding and open pollination, presumably involving a variety related to Lemberger and an aromatic grape variety. The original name of the variety is «Muskat-Lemberger».
The grape is distinguished by very early ripening, maturing 2–3 weeks earlier than many other varieties. The berries possess a characteristic muscat aroma. The variety is used for the production of various types of wines, including dry rosé and dessert wines, which are characterized by a vibrant fruit bouquet.
The plant is adapted to various weather conditions that ensure early harvesting. The variety is officially approved for use in Germany.
