This clone was selected at the Romanian research station SCDVV Iași to improve the quality and productivity of the parent variety. It is intended for the production of high-quality red wines and is not an independent hybrid.

During research, the clone demonstrated the ability to synthesize significant amounts of resveratrol, which is involved in the plant's defense mechanisms against the pathogens Botrytis cinerea, Plasmopara viticola, and Phomopsis viticola. In comparative analyses of phenotypic uniformity and stability, the clone was classified as having medium stability.
