Variety description

The vines have medium to high vigor. Leaves are medium to large in size, three- or five-lobed, deeply dissected, with heavy tomentose pubescence on the underside. Flowers are perfect. Clusters are medium-sized, conical in shape, and medium-dense.

Berries are medium-sized, dark purple or almost black in color, covered with a heavy bloom. The skin is thick and firm, the flesh is juicy, and the juice is uncolored. Sugar content of the berries is 19–20%, acidity is 7–9.5 g/l.

The variety has high frost resistance and good yield. It is resistant to oidium and gray mold, and requires protection from mildew. Wines from this variety are characterized by deep color, structured tannins, and notes of blackcurrant, spices, and dark fruits.
