The variety is a natural hybrid of Alfrocheiro and Patorra. It belongs to mid-late ripening varieties; berry ripening occurs in the second half of September.

The leaf is medium-sized, five-lobed, deeply dissected. Clusters are small or medium, cylindro-conical, compact. Berries are small, dark blue in color with thick skin and a heavy waxy bloom. The flower is hermaphroditic.

The variety is characterized by unstable yield, sensitivity to downy mildew, grey mold, and low winter hardiness. Intended exclusively for winemaking.
