The variety is a natural clonal mutation of the Chasselas blanc variety. It belongs to the early table varieties of the first ripening period. The vine is characterized by medium vigor. The clusters are of medium size, cylindrical-conical in shape, of medium density, with a weight of 120–200 g.
The berries are of medium size, rounded, covered with a waxy bloom, have a firm red skin and juicy flesh with colorless juice. The yield is 100–140 c/ha, with regular fruiting. The variety has medium resistance to diseases and low temperatures.
Cultivation requires mixed pruning with fruit cane lengths of 6–8 buds; it is recommended to plant on deep and light soils. In addition to table use, in a number of regions, the variety is used to produce light table wines with a neutral aroma and moderate acidity.
