A mandatory condition for successful hyacinth forcing is completing a dormant period at low temperatures for at least 13 weeks. This stage simulates natural seasonal cycles and is essential for the full development of the peduncle, without which flowering would be impossible or of poor quality.

In container conditions, plants are extremely sensitive to waterlogging; therefore, they require a loose substrate with the addition of perlite or sand and the mandatory presence of drainage holes. To obtain high-quality results, it is necessary to use only large bulbs with a diameter of 5 cm or more, as smaller planting material does not provide stable inflorescence development under conditions of limited nutrition.

The container method allows for the mobile use of hyacinths in decorative compositions; however, it limits the access to nutrients. After flowering indoors, the bulbs become depleted and require mandatory growing in open ground for several seasons to restore their vigor.
