Color groups applied are: green, yellow, orange, pink, red of various shades, purple, violet, and white. To ensure the accuracy of the description, visual observation is carried out at the stage of full flower opening using reference scales, such as the RHS scales.

The trait is characterized by the intensity of expression—from pale to very dark—and stability. In breeding practice, color is a genetically determined trait that requires monitoring during the reproduction process. In seed propagation, segregation of color is considered a negative factor, as the stability of the trait expression acts as a mandatory criterion for meeting the requirements of distinctness, uniformity, and stability.
